About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Director of Rooms to lead Rooms Division operations and deliver high-quality guest experiences. The role oversees the Front Office—including Valet, Bell Staff, Concierge, Front Desk, and Emerald Lounge—as well as Housekeeping and Laundry. The Director manages and evaluates Rooms Division functions, including Common Area, PBX, and Bell Staff/Shuttle/Valet Service, and works closely with the General Manager and AGM on special projects and assignments. This position serves on the Executive Committee and calls for an energetic, collaborative leader who supports and inspires associates while delivering guest satisfaction.

Requirements

At least 5 years of progressive hotel or resort experience in full-service properties with over 500 rooms.
Extensive Rooms Division experience in Housekeeping and Front Desk.
Broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day functions of a resort.
Leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Responsibilities

Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, and guest services to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
Maximize guest service scores and opportunities within the Rooms Division.
Hire, train, and lead department managers and team members while maintaining standards, safety, and compliance.
Control budgets and optimize occupancy and revenue metrics.
Oversee property systems and maintain readiness for operational disruptions.
Work with the General Manager and AGM on special projects and assignments.
Manage, evaluate, and oversee Rooms Division functions, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Common Area, Laundry, Concierge, PBX, and Bell Staff/Shuttle/Valet Service.
