Director of Product Marketing and Customer Marketing

Hotjar is seeking an accomplished leader in Product and Customer Marketing to join their remote team. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving customer-centric initiatives and effectively launching products. They will lead a team of Product Marketing and Lifecycle Managers, establish clear goals, and make data-based decisions in a constantly evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building new things together with their team.

• Be fully accountable for the product to market strategy and customer marketing/lifecycle programs
• Lead a team of Product Marketing and Lifecycle Managers, prioritizing initiatives with high impact and value to customers
• Coach the team to build collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams
• Define the strategic vision for the team and establish clear and measurable goals
• Make data-based decisions using qualitative, quantitative, and market insights
• Use mistakes as learning opportunities and provide constructive coaching to team members
• Have 8+ years of experience in Product Marketing or Customer Marketing
• Lead a team of Product Marketing Managers, including hiring and coaching experience
• Create and execute a Go to Market Strategy aligned with overall objectives and product/revenue strategy
• Collaborate with partners across the business, including Product/Engineering, Data, Design, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Finance
• Understand the mechanics, metrics, and levers of a B2B SaaS or B2C subscription business
• Passionate about building new things with the team and leading with empathy and passion for results
• Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment
• Must submit to a background check processed by a third-party.

• 8+ years of experience in Product Marketing or Customer Marketing
• Demonstrated track record of successful product launches
• Experience leading a team of Product Marketing Managers
• Experience in hiring and coaching
• Ability to create and execute a Go to Market Strategy
• Collaboration with partners across various business functions
• Understanding of B2B SaaS or B2C subscription business mechanics, metrics, and levers
• Passion for building new things with a team
• Leadership with empathy and passion for results
• Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment
• Willingness to undergo a background check
