About The Position

Elastic is hiring a Director of Product Management to own Streams end to end and lead the product management team behind it. Streams is Elastic’s shared telemetry pipeline and ingest layer for Observability, Security, and Search. It collects data from any source, processes and routes it, and stores it in Elasticsearch or customers’ own object storage, using open standards such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus. The role’s goal is to make Elastic the easiest platform for bringing data in for every solution and customer. The Director will set strategy and roadmap for data collection, ingestion, processing, routing, and the integrations framework; define and track adoption KPIs; and work with product leaders across Observability, Security, and Search to provide a shared service. The role will make ingestion self-service, with time to first data measured in minutes, and lead distributed product managers toward measurable outcomes. The Director will also shape priorities with customers, internal teams, and the community; work with engineering and design on feature definition; and enable sales, marketing, and partners with clear positioning and messaging. Compensation is base salary with no variable compensation component. The typical starting range is $199,700–$315,900 USD, or $239,800–$379,300 USD in select locations. The role is eligible for Elastic’s stock program. Benefits include company-matched 401(k), health coverage in many locations, flexible locations and schedules for many roles, vacation days, donation matching, volunteer time, and parental leave.
