About The Position

CaptivateIQ is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy and execution of its Product Platform. This platform serves as the foundational layer for all CaptivateIQ applications, enabling them to function as a unified, AI-native system. It encompasses data connectivity and queryability, workflow orchestration, reporting, identity and entitlement management, state versioning and auditing, and an AI/agent platform. This is a high-leverage role requiring a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of systems and the ability to balance platform thinking with product execution. The role is located in the Midwest, East Coast, or Toronto, Canada.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience leading product managers, with a proven track record in shaping complex, multi-tenant systems.
  • Deep experience with platform or infrastructure products (e.g., data platforms, APIs, developer platforms, workflow engines, identity and access management).
  • Demonstrated ability to build reusable primitives and abstractions that serve multiple products, teams, and external builders.
  • Strong API-first instincts, with a preference for thinking in interfaces, schemas, and contracts.
  • Fluency with and genuine curiosity about the AI/agent stack, including MCP, agent tooling, evals, and context management.
  • Strong cross-functional instincts, with the ability to align Engineering, Design, Sales, and CX.
  • A coaching mindset focused on developing people's judgment.
  • Clear, structured thinking to simplify complexity without losing nuance.
  • Passion for creating environments where product teams can do their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Product Platform strategy and roadmap, defining its evolution to accelerate product development and enhance model connectivity.
  • Ensure the platform acts as an accelerant for product teams, encouraging the use of default primitives and discouraging the creation of parallel versions.
  • Champion interface-first, agent-ready design, ensuring all platform surfaces are API-first with well-defined schemas and documentation.
  • Provide hands-on product leadership, staying close to customer workflows, data models, agent behavior, and technical constraints.
  • Scale enterprise readiness by delivering robust governance, auditability, access control, sandboxing, performance, and reliability.
  • Develop system thinkers by coaching PMs to think holistically, reason about trade-offs, and make structured decisions.
  • Drive measurable impact by connecting platform work to company-level outcomes such as development velocity and reduction in fragmentation.

Benefits

  • 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision for all FTEs, with roughly 75% coverage for dependents.
  • Flexible vacation days.
  • Quarterly mental health days.
  • Annual stipends for professional development and caretaking needs.
  • Annual work anniversary bonuses that increase with tenure.
  • 401(k) plan (US-Only).
  • Latest Apple hardware.
  • Active Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
