About The Position

Transportation Management Group (TMG) is a management services organization specializing in the non-emergency medical transportation (NEM T) industry. Headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, TMG partners with NEMT providers to deliver operational, administrative, and strategic support that drives efficiency, scalability, and growth. The Director of Operations will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, strategy execution, and the overall performance of our transportation network. This role demands strong leadership, deep operational expertise, and the ability to streamline processes across multiple locations. The Director of Operations will collaborate closely with senior and executive management while leading a team to ensure the achievement of business objectives, the maintenance of high customer satisfaction, and the pursuit of operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industries.
  • Proven experience managing multi-location or regional operations.
  • Strong background in operational optimization, cost control, and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and geographies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide clear operational insights to executive leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Frequent travel between locations is needed (up to 50-75% of the time).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
  • Experience with healthcare, fleet management, logistics technology, and regulatory compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operations across all six multi-state locations, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and service excellence.
  • Supervise location leaders and support staff, providing guidance, training, and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all locations.
  • Monitor and optimize day-to-day operations, including logistics, fleet management, customer service, dispatch, and scheduling.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
  • Ensure all locations adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Drive the use of technology and data analytics to improve operational processes and decision-making.
  • Work with Executive Directors to develop and manage annual budgets for each location, ensuring cost controls and alignment with corporate financial objectives.
  • Review and analyze financial performance, taking corrective actions as needed to meet profit and performance goals.
  • Provide regular reports to the executive team on operations, productivity, and any potential issues requiring attention.
  • Oversee customer service efforts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and efficient service delivery.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and act as a liaison to ensure that customer needs are met consistently.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including safety standards, fleet inspections, and driver qualifications.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with other departments (HR, Sales, Finance, etc.) at the corporate and base level to align on operational goals and provide support for new business initiatives.
  • Work closely with the corporate executive team to refine operational strategies and communicate challenges and opportunities.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work assigned schedules, including schedule adjustments and travel as business needs require, consistent with applicable law.
  • Communicate effectively in English, including speaking, hearing, and exchanging information in person, by phone, and through electronic systems across multiple locations and teams.
  • Maintain focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand, multi-site environment.
  • Analyze complex operational, financial, and performance data and exercise sound, job-related judgment in time-sensitive situations.
  • Lead and influence teams by providing direction, coaching, and decision-making in dynamic and changing conditions.
  • Use computers and standard business systems, including reporting tools, spreadsheets, and operational platforms, to review and manage data accurately.
  • Remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer and using standard office equipment.
  • Move between office and operational environments, including standing, walking, and traveling between locations as needed.
  • Maintain situational awareness and adaptability while addressing operational challenges, disruptions, and competing priorities.
  • Work in environments involving frequent interruptions, evolving demands, and varying operational conditions across multiple locations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business, employee, and operational information with discretion.
