About The Position

Commercial General Contractor is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction of convenience stores and gas stations throughout the Southeast. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with ground-up convenience store, gas station, retail, or similar projects
• Proven leadership experience managing multiple projects and construction teams
• Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and project controls
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction operations across multiple projects
• Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field operations
• Establish and maintain project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety expectations
• Coordinate with owners, architects, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep projects moving.
• Develop and improve operational processes, systems, and best practices to support company growth
• Monitor project performance, costs, manpower, and overall profitability
• Identify operational risks and implement solutions before they impact project delivery
• Support business development and preconstruction efforts as needed.
