About The Position

The Director of Music Hall Operations leads all operational aspects of the House of Blues Music Hall, delivering safe, seamless, high-energy live entertainment experiences while achieving financial, service, and team-performance goals. This role owns event-day execution from advance planning through post-event review and serves as the primary operational partner to talent, promoters, venue leadership, casino partners, and internal departments.

Requirements

Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in live entertainment, concert venue, nightclub, casino, hospitality, or high-volume event operations.
Proven experience leading large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
Strong knowledge of event operations, crowd management, security coordination, food and beverage service, labor planning, and P&L management.
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities during live events.
Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Entertainment Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily and event-driven operations of the Music Hall, including concerts, special events, private functions, and venue activations.
Direct event execution across front-of-house, guest services, security, box office, production, food and beverage, facilities, and overnight or post-event operations.
Build and maintain detailed event plans, staffing models, operating timelines, venue setups, and contingency plans in partnership with production, booking, security, and sales teams.
Ensure an exceptional guest experience from arrival through departure, with a focus on hospitality, efficiency, accessibility, crowd flow, and issue resolution.
Maintain compliance with all company policies, gaming-resort requirements, alcohol service standards, health and safety regulations, fire-life-safety procedures, and local licensing requirements.
Partner with Security and Risk teams to execute crowd-management, emergency-response, and incident-reporting protocols.
Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and hold accountable a high-performing operations team. Create a culture of ownership, hospitality, urgency, and consistent execution.
Manage departmental labor, operating expenses, supplies, equipment, and event-related costs to meet budget and profitability targets.
Review event forecasts, attendance, per-capita revenue opportunities, labor deployment, and post-event performance to identify improvements and drive results.
Collaborate with Food and Beverage leadership to optimize concessions, bars, VIP service, merchandise, and other guest-spend opportunities without compromising service flow.
Serve as the primary operations contact for artists, tour managers, promoters, vendors, and resort partners on event days, resolving issues quickly and professionally.
Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs, documenting operational wins, incidents, guest feedback, and corrective actions.
Oversee venue readiness, cleanliness, maintenance needs, inventory control, and capital improvement priorities.
Support the development and execution of venue policies, standard operating procedures, and service standards.
