About The Position

Butternut Mountain Farm is seeking a senior, hands-on Director of Marketing to help shape the next phase of growth for our national, multi-channel business. This role is designed for a commercially oriented marketing integrator — someone who understands how marketing supports revenue growth, customer development, brand strength, and market opportunity. The right person will bring CPG experience, strong partnership with Sales, and the ability to turn business priorities into clear stories, practical tools, and focused action. This leader will help Marketing become a stronger growth partner to the business by bringing clearer priorities, stronger execution, better market-facing materials, and greater discipline to how marketing work is planned, measured, and delivered.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with meaningful CPG experience required.
  • Experience in food, beverage, agriculture, or natural products strongly preferred.
  • Strong commercial orientation, including experience partnering with Sales and supporting customer-facing growth.
  • Proven ability to build or evolve marketing capability in a growing or complex organization.
  • Able to translate strategy into clear stories, priorities, tools, and action.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a business where priorities evolve and not every answer is fully defined.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or external marketing partners preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and leadership to translate growth strategy into clear marketing priorities, plans, and programs.
  • Strengthen BMF’s brand story and value proposition across sales tools, packaging, content, and communications.
  • Develop practical tools, insights, narratives, and programs that support customer development and new business growth.
  • Build a deep understanding of what makes BMF distinct — including our family ownership, agricultural sourcing, product quality, and operational capabilities — and translate that into a clear value proposition across channels.
  • Bring market, customer, and channel insights back into the organization to inform decisions and sharpen priorities.
  • Help identify, test, and advance growth opportunities, including Direct-to-Consumer and other channel development efforts.
  • Lead marketing execution by coordinating internal work, external partners, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bring structure, focus, and momentum to marketing operations while supporting strong cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Help the organization navigate evolving priorities and tradeoffs with clarity, flexibility, and good judgment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, and benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, holidays, and paid time off
  • 401K Retirement Plan with company contribution
  • Product discounts and free breakfast for on-site staff
