About The Position

The Director of Marketing leads all aspects of sales, marketing and public relations of the functions of the organization. The marketing manager must be a vibrant and dynamic personality with high energy and a sincere passion for working with seniors and providing peace of mind through quality care to seniors and their loved ones. The Marketing Director position maintains and/or improves upon the occupancy level and revenue production of the community in accordance with marketing and business plans (touring, marketing events, telephoning, and advertising campaign); includes managing the sales process and completing all activities required for a sale. The Director of Marketing creates and designs all marketing materials including, brochures, print ads, social media, media presentations, TV commercials and mail outs. Supervises all sales, marketing, public relations and construction/renovation to the units and campus. Supervises all sales, marketing and public relations staff, provides guidance, training and oversight in all staff duties. The Marketing Director represents the community and increases awareness through participation in outside events. The Director of Marketing also assists management with resident retention. Partners with management to develop and execute marketing plans and achieve community occupancy goals. Leads the development and implementation of all strategic marketing plans, events and campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a leadership role in business or not-for-profit sales/marketing, preferably in a retirement housing, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities described.
  • Proven track record of generating and closing a high percentage of qualified leads.
  • Ability to effectively listen and communicate verbally and in writing is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a fast paced, team oriented atmosphere.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service, problem solving and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and/or improves upon the occupancy level and revenue production of the community in accordance with marketing and business plans.
  • Leads all aspects of the sales, marketing and public relations functions for the organization including development and implementation of annual marketing plan, campaigns, events and communications in order to increase move-ins and grow the wait list.
  • Manages the sales process and completes all activities required for a sale.
  • Represents the community and increases awareness through participation in outside events.
  • Provides guidance, training and oversight to all department staff as it relates to sales, Aline CRM lead database and all other techniques and tools.
  • Sets annual and quarterly sales and other activity goals and achieves those goals with the use of a full-centered marketing approach in touring and planning on and off campus marketing events utilizing the creation of brochures, publications, TV commercials, print and online ads, social media, web site and email blasts in combination with touring and telephoning.
  • Creates marketing strategies incorporating incentives and activities to increase the occupancy rate and grow the wait list.
  • Establish the marketing budget and adhere to accounting procedures.
  • Works as a collaborative member of the management team working closely with and guiding the Executive Administrator/CEO, the Board, marketing staff and others.
  • Partners with various departments in ensuring all communications to prospects are in line with current expectations and deliverables of services within community.
