About The Position

The Director of Marketing Solutions is a senior marketing leader responsible for translating enterprise marketing strategy into high-impact creative, content, and digital execution. As a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team, this role leads the functions that bring marketing strategies to life across all channels and customer journeys. This position oversees creative direction, content strategy, corporate and internal communications, digital execution, brand governance, and multi-channel marketing production, ensuring all marketing outputs are high-quality, on-brand, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives. The Director of Marketing Solutions manages the integrated teams responsible for creative development, digital platforms (including firstmid.com and social platform), content and communications, and marketing production. This leader ensures the effective orchestration of B2C and B2B customer journeys, while maintaining rigorous standards for brand integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Digital Media, or related field (advanced training preferred).
  • 10+ years of marketing leadership experience with significant responsibility in creative direction, content strategy, digital marketing, or brand leadership.
  • Experience leading multi‑disciplinary creative and digital teams.
  • Proven ability to operationalize marketing strategy into scalable marketing programs.
  • Strong creative and digital leadership capabilities.
  • Deep expertise in brand, content, and digital strategy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Operational rigor and process discipline.
  • Ability to translate strategy into high‑quality creative and digital execution.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative direction across all marketing channels, ensuring brand consistency and excellence.
  • Oversee development of visual identity, templates, and brand standards.
  • Provide creative guidance and quality control for campaigns, digital assets, and print materials.
  • Drive innovation in creative storytelling, design, and customer experience.
  • Oversee content strategy, messaging frameworks, and editorial governance.
  • Ensure content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with tone, voice, and brand standards.
  • Guide content development supporting B2C and B2B audiences, including thought leadership, campaign messaging, and customer lifecycle communications.
  • Lead development of multi‑channel content including product, internal communications, PR, and journey‑based content.
  • Oversee digital execution across web, social, and digital channels.
  • Ensure digital content is optimized for usability, accessibility, and performance.
  • Partner with CRM and Analytics to support segmentation, targeting, and digital optimization.
  • Lead digital governance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee creative production workflows, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between Strategy, Creative, Content, and Digital teams.
  • Maintain high standards for accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes, templates, and tools.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CMO and Marketing Strategy team.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing creative, content, and digital team.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and accountability across teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Represent Marketing Solutions in cross‑functional planning and leadership forums.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between Strategy, Creative, Content, and Digital teams.
  • Maintain high standards for accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes, templates, and tools.
