About The Position

Oak Creek Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility in Kimberly, Idaho, is hiring a full-time Director of Maintenance. The role is responsible for maintaining the facility’s building, equipment, and grounds while supporting safe, high-quality care and residents’ independence. The Director manages the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments, including interviewing and hiring, and works under the direction of the Administrator. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience.
Fluent in English.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of maintenance department leadership experience.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

Schedule and perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
Perform and document safety tests.
Understand and ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
Maintain professional working relationships with departments, staff, vendors, and inspectors.
Conduct regular required inspections to ensure equipment and systems function properly for general use and life safety.
Manage operations within a budget under the direction of the Administrator.
Interact positively with residents.
Manage the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments, including interviewing and hiring.
Educate and train staff on fire safety, emergency preparedness, safety, and other state and federal requirements.
