Director of Information Technology
About The Position
Cardone Training Technologies (CTTI) is looking for a Director of Information Technology to own our internal technology function end-to-end — infrastructure, security, systems, and the multi-year IT roadmap — for a 100% onsite, rapidly scaling workforce across Florida and Arizona. This is a senior leadership role, not a hands-on-only IT manager position: you'll set the strategy and standards for how CTTI runs technology internally, and you'll be the person senior and C-suite leadership turns to for a clear-eyed read on technology risk, readiness, and investment. The ideal candidate brings the 10X mindset to IT: high ownership, high accountability, and a bias toward action — balanced with the judgment to protect the company on security, compliance, and risk. This is not a purely strategic, hands-off seat: you'll be expected to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team on real issues, especially during critical incidents, major projects, live offsite events and periods of rapid growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 12+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior IT leadership role with budget and multi-team ownership.
- Proven, hands-on experience with VMware, Active Directory, MDM, AWS, and Google Workspace.
- Demonstrated experience presenting technology strategy, risk, and investment decisions to executive and C-suite audiences.
- Experience owning IT security and compliance standards, including access governance and incident response.
- Experience supporting a multi-site organization; Florida/Arizona or comparable dual-state experience a plus.
- Experience building and scaling an IT organization, including adding management layers as headcount grows.
- Willing and able to work hands-on — comfortable in the weeds of infrastructure, systems, or a live incident, not solely delegating and reporting up.

- Experience partnering with a product/client-facing technology function on shared data security and governance.
- Familiarity with data warehousing principles and practices.
- Background in a fast-growth, founder-led, or high-performance sales culture.
Responsibilities
- Own the internal technology strategy and multi-year infrastructure roadmap, aligned to CTTI's growth plans across all locations.
- Serve as the senior-most voice on internal technology at the leadership table — translating IT performance, risk, and investment needs into clear terms for the COO, CEO, and other executives.
- Own the IT budget: build the case for investment, track spend against plan, and find efficiencies without compromising security or service levels.
- Define and defend the boundary between internal IT and CTTI's client-facing technology function, particularly on data security, access governance, and compliance ownership.
- Own the performance of a 10-person IT organization spanning help desk, systems, and infrastructure, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Build the org structure needed to scale — including adding a manager layer over day-to-day ticket/help desk operations as headcount grows.
- Establish service standards and SLAs for internal support across all locations.
- Work hands-on alongside the team on complex issues, critical incidents, and major projects — staying technically credible and close enough to the work to lead it, not just report on it.
- Own the company's core technology stack, including VMware, Active Directory, MDM, AWS, and Google Workspace.
- Own IT security and data protection standards — access control, patching cadence, incident response — in partnership with HR and Legal on any employee- or client-data-impacting issues.
- Set and enforce IT compliance standards across Florida and Arizona operations.
- Evaluate and select new systems, tools, and vendors for reliability, security, and cost.
