About The Position

The Director of Imaging Services role at Twin County Regional Healthcare, part of Lifepoint Health, is a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This position involves directing the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. The director will develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements. This role also involves directing and evaluating departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Planning and monitoring staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives, are key responsibilities. The director will also prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding and coordinating internal/external audits. Creating and fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and integrating evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols are also essential. A comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA) is required, along with the application of policies and procedures, and knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices. Following infection control, HIPAA, and hospital safety guidelines is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • BLS required by completion of hospital orientation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
