About The Position

The Director of Housekeeping leads resort housekeeping operations in North Myrtle Beach, ensuring teams deliver consistent, inspection-ready results aligned with Sun Hospitality Standards of Operations. The role focuses on building a reliable staff, protecting quality and safety, and maintaining high guest satisfaction. The Director is a hands-on leader who can step into site operations when needed. A typical shift includes reviewing overnight notes, arrivals and departures, and guest feedback; walking key areas and spot-checking readiness; coordinating daily priorities with resort leadership; staying visible on the property to answer questions and remove obstacles; maintaining communication between the office and field; and confirming next-shift coverage and documenting updates. Background screening is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or higher.
At least 3 years of hospitality management experience.
Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
Familiarity with Sun Hospitality SOPs.
Ability to pass a background check and work in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

Staff and schedule housekeeping teams to meet MPOR and payroll targets.
Lead daily team huddles and coach employees.
Complete evaluations and payroll status changes on time.
Maintain service billing and payroll records.
Complete room inspection reporting and develop action plans.
Monitor supplies and inventories and place orders.
Partner with resort leadership to address guest concerns quickly.
Provide hands-on leadership and step into site operations when needed.
Review overnight notes, arrivals and departures, and guest feedback.
Walk key areas, spot-check readiness, and coordinate daily priorities.
Maintain communication between the office and field, confirm next-shift coverage, and document updates.
