About The Position

The Director of Food Service manages the food service operation under the direction of the System Director of Food & Nutrition & Environmental Services. The role ensures compliance with department regulations and procedures in accordance with administrative and accrediting agency guidelines, and assists in developing food service standards, policies, and procedures. The position is at Palo Alto Rehab, part of PAM Health, a provider of specialty healthcare services.

Requirements

An associate degree in general dietetics that meets American Dietetic Association (ADA) approval, or qualifying experience that may include completion of an accredited food production management course as a substitute for a degree.
3–5 years of experience coordinating food or environmental services in a hospital, hospitality, or academic setting.

Ensure compliance with department regulations and procedures in conformance with administrative and accrediting agency guidelines.
Assist in developing standards, policies, and procedures for food service.
