Director of Food Service/Chief Clinical Dietitian - FT | Covington LTACH
About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Director of Food Service/Chief Clinical Dietitian at a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH). The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the Food Services Department to provide professional services to patients, staff, and guests. The position requires planning regular and modified diets, counseling patients on nutritional needs, and participating in educational programs. The individual will also assist with the department's Quality Assessment and Quality Improvement plan and utilize standardized practices in accordance with PAM Health policies.
Requirements
- Must be registered, licensed or certified according to the guidelines of the state in which the hospital resided.
- Must possess a B.S. degree in Food/Nutrition, General Dietetics or Institutional Management.
- 3 years of experience in a clinical setting with supervisory experience preferred.
- Rehabilitation experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the assigned hospital’s Food Services Department to provide professional services to patients, staff and guests.
- Responsible for planning regular and modified diets for all patients as prescribed by the medical staff.
- Routinely visit patients and counseling patients regarding their nutritional needs.
- Participate in hospital, patient, and community education and outpatient programs.
- Assist with the maintenance of the department’s Quality Assessment and Quality Improvement plan.
- Utilize standardized practices and materials in accordance with PAM Health policies and procedures.
