About The Position

The Director of Finance oversees all financial operations at La Cantera Resort and Spa, a Signia by Hilton Resort, aligning financial strategy with hotel goals to optimize profitability and efficiency. The role directs financial planning, analysis, annual plans, projections, and budgets, and provides insights to support business decisions.

Serving as the primary financial advisor to hotel management, ownership, and department heads, the Director of Finance makes data-driven recommendations to enhance financial performance. The role ensures compliance with GAAP, protects hotel assets through financial controls, and oversees reporting systems and processes for accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. It also monitors and authorizes hotel sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses, and develops a high-performing team through performance management, professional development, and recognition.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations and align them with the hotel’s strategic goals to optimize profitability and efficiency.
• Direct preparation of annual plans, projections, and budgets, and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
• Advise hotel management, ownership, and department heads with data-driven recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and safeguard hotel assets through financial controls.
• Oversee financial reporting systems and processes to promote accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
• Monitor and authorize hotel sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses.
• Promote team engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs.
