About The Position

The Director of Finance, eCommerce & Marketplaces owns the channel’s full P&L, including net revenue, gross margin, fulfillment and shipping, marketing, and contribution margin. The role leads annual planning, long-range plan inputs, and monthly forecasting, explains business performance, and recommends actions. It partners with the Topline Forecast Manager on the weekly outlook and Weekly Business Review. The position drives revenue and profit growth through pricing, promotional strategy, mix management, and revenue realization analytics covering discounts, coupons, returns, cancellations, and shipping revenue. It evaluates marketplace economics, including fees, take rates, advertising, assortment, and fulfillment models, and develops business cases for new marketplace launches, partnerships, and digital investments. The role sets and tracks expense targets for variable cost per order, fulfillment and shipping, marketing efficiency, and platform costs; identifies waste and productivity opportunities; and holds partners accountable. It advises eCommerce, Marketing, and Merchandising leaders on trade-offs and leads and develops the eCommerce & Marketplaces Financial Analyst. Success in the first year includes establishing a trusted, driver-based P&L reviewed weekly with business partners, identifying growth levers that deliver measurable net revenue gains, and setting variable cost per order and marketing efficiency targets that track to plan.
