Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years facilities maintenance
- 2 years facilities supervision in hospitality or a related field
- Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fully competent in Microsoft Office
- Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with Team Member relations issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Responsibilities
- Develop and administer approved budgets for Facilities.
- Develop, administer, and monitor all programs for operation, maintenance, and renovations.
- Plan, develop and direct the staffing, training, and equitable treatment of all Team Members
- Responsible for the overall operations of the Facilities Department
- Responsible for obtaining all certifications, licenses and permits for the facility.
- Establish, administer, and evaluate department policies and objectives, including standards of performance.
- Establish and maintain a maintenance program to ensure a safe area for Guests and Team Members
- Establish and maintain a work order system.
- Establish and schedule an effective preventative maintenance program.
- Make determinations of equipment depreciation and disposal
- Direct Team Members engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
- Direct Team Members engaged in the maintenance and repairing of utility systems, such as electrical wiring and controls, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and consumable supplies to support building, grounds, physical plant, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtown and to maximize cash flow.
- Effectively schedule, monitor, and evaluate all controllable costs.
- Maintain all regulatory logs and records.
- Implement and evaluate an energy management program.
