Director of Environmental Services
About The Position
Metz Environmental Services is seeking a Director of Environmental Services, also referred to as an EVS Director/GM, to lead environmental services in a busy healthcare setting. The role is responsible for ensuring the facility functions properly and safely and that its appearance, sanitation, and cleanliness meet expectations for the client, patients, residents, and guests. The position calls for a leader who shares the company’s commitment to superior service and can motivate, challenge, mentor, develop, and retain hourly team members. The role also involves facility and EVS maintenance, employee management, administrative and accounting functions, budgeting, and purchasing. Requirements
- 3–5 years of EVS management experience.
- Strong knowledge of facility and EVS maintenance procedures.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Experience with employee management, accounting, and HR functions.
- Experience managing a budget and purchasing.
- Mechanical inclination and understanding of EVS industry terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a similar field is desired.
