About The Position

Red Ventures Growth & Transformation (RVGT) is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering organization responsible for a client's acquisition and digital operations. The role leads engineering managers and tech leads building AI-native products and agentic workflows, owns technical delivery commitments, and serves as the senior engineering relationship with client product, technology, and data leaders. The Director sets technical strategy, connects engineering decisions to measurable business impact, and builds a team capable of delivering that impact. The position leads and develops engineering managers and technical leads, establishes the organization’s technical strategy and operating rhythm, and sets standards for safe, repeatable use of coding agents and agentic workflows. It partners with client executives to turn objectives and experimentation insights into measurable technical roadmaps, communicate trade-offs and risks, and resolve delivery issues. The Director guides architecture across systems using React, Next.js, Go, AWS, and Terraform; reviews designs and agent-generated plans; and contributes hands-on when needed. The role also ensures contractual, security, privacy, consent, audit, accessibility, and data-handling obligations are met, while collaborating across product, data, operations, and engineering teams to reuse components and share effective practices. This is a hybrid role based in the South Charlotte, North Carolina or New York, New York office. The position is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship and is not available for corp-to-corp work. Compensation is $145,000–$260,000 total cash annually, or $181,250–$325,000 in New York City; equity is offered separately. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
