About The Position

The Director of Clinical Education (RN) at Stone Oak Care Center is a leadership role focused on developing clinical teams, leading infection prevention efforts, and supporting clinical excellence in a skilled nursing setting. This is a hands-on role for an RN who values connection, education, and teamwork. The primary responsibilities include managing the Infection Control Program and overseeing education for clinical team members. The role also involves participating in the on-call clinical rotation and providing direct patient care support, such as working the med cart or assisting on the floor, as needed. Depending on community needs and the individual's experience, this position may also take on unit management responsibilities or other delegated leadership tasks.

Requirements

Active Texas RN license is required.
Skilled nursing or long-term care experience.
A team-first mindset with the flexibility to lead, teach, and step in when support is needed.
Passion for building strong teams and promoting a positive, respectful workplace culture.

Education or leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the facility’s Infection Control Program, including education, compliance, and best practices.
Design and deliver orientation, competency training, and ongoing clinical education.
Serve on the QAPI Committee, identifying learning opportunities that improve outcomes.
Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering confidence, accountability, and growth.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide hands-on clinical support as needed.
Support care delivery by working the med cart or assisting on the floor.
Take on unit management responsibilities or additional delegated leadership tasks as needed.
