About The Position
Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large Skilled Nursing Facility located in the Queens, NY area that is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for direct hire to their team. The company is very stable and successful and is committed to supporting the staff in every way. The DON will be responsible for maintaining a high quality of care throughout the facility. The DON will also be required to manage, train and motivationally support the nursing staff.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Experience working as an ADON or Director in a Skilled Nursing Home
- Knowledgeable with State and Federal regulations and compliance guidelines
- Experience developing and fostering collaborative teams
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
- Strong problem resolution skills
Nice To Haves
- BRN degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a high quality of care throughout the facility
- Manage, train and motivationally support the nursing staff
- Participate and assist in the DOH Survey process
- Develop, maintain and revise patient care policies as needed
- Ensuring regulatory compliance
