About The Position

The Director of Catering is responsible for catering and events, including managing a team, building client relationships, and ensuring high-quality catering for guests. The role coordinates internal and external events, develops and maintains a catering marketing plan and event-planning service, and oversees menu development. It also manages catering staff hiring, training, scheduling, and development. The Director ensures successful event operations, including labor and food cost control and food preparation, transportation, setup, service, operation, and cleanup.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts.
At least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 2 years in management; catering management experience is preferred.
Experience booking events, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and sourcing temporary help and equipment.
Ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee internal and external catering events.

Build client relationships and ensure the quality of catering offered to guests.
