About The Position

Barnsley Resort is a luxury destination in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia. The Director of Catering and Conference Services leads the catering and conference services team and is responsible for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and social events. The role calls for a hospitality professional who can deliver exceptional service, create memorable events, and contribute to business growth in a fast-paced environment.

The position develops strategic plans, oversees event operations, builds client and vendor relationships, leads and supports staff, and collaborates with clients on customized event packages and menus. It also monitors industry trends, ensures guest satisfaction, and manages budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Irregular hours and travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in catering and conference services management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven sales and business development acumen.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed.
• Proficiency in event planning software and technology.
