About The Position

ARCO is seeking a Director of Business Development to pursue new clients nationally. The role focuses on identifying and developing relationships that generate new business, expanding ARCO’s market presence, and supporting execution of the sales plan. The Director coordinates sales and proposal activities with marketing, project management, and operations teams, and travels as needed, up to 40%.

Requirements

5–10 years of new business development experience.
Proficiency in business development software such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or Pipedrive.

Nice To Haves

Direct sales experience in food and beverage, cold storage, light industrial/manufacturing, or commercial sectors is highly preferred.
Design-build experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and establish top-of-mind awareness.
Research and analyze economic factors that may influence market activity in specific niche markets or geographic areas.
Help develop and manage execution of the sales plan.
Attend trade shows and association meetings to stay informed about market conditions and competition and to establish relationships with clients and prospects.
Coordinate and manage the sales and proposal process with ARCO’s marketing, project management, and operations management teams.
Travel as needed, up to 40%.
