About The Position

UENI is seeking a Director of Affiliate Partnerships to scale its affiliate program significantly, focusing on US customer acquisition. The goal is to replicate the success of hosting companies by building a large network of small affiliates (content creators, bloggers, tutorial publishers) to drive consistent signup volume. This role also involves securing top-three placements on comparison and review sites frequented by small business owners researching website builders. The current affiliate programs run on PartnerStack and Impact, with an established partner base that needs to be scaled.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience scaling an affiliate program in hosting companies, domain registrars, website builders, or SMB-focused SaaS.
  • Proven track record of personally scaling a distributed affiliate program to $1M+ in attributable annual revenue.
  • Experience in long-tail affiliate recruitment at scale, onboarding dozens of small affiliates.
  • Demonstrated track record securing editorial placement on major comparison and review sites (e.g., Forbes Advisor, NerdWallet, Tooltester, Website Builder Expert, Tom's Guide, PCMag).
  • Advanced operator-level fluency with affiliate platforms like PartnerStack and/or Impact, including configuration of complex commission structures, anti-fraud rules, attribution logic, and performance reporting.
  • Existing relationships with key SMB content publishers or affiliate marketers.
  • Strong commercial instincts, with a focus on CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, and refund rates.
  • US-based or ability to work full US business hours.
  • Ability to think in terms of P&L for an affiliate program, including commission structures, refund rates, and cohort performance.

  • Direct, hands-on experience integrating a hosting or SaaS product into a partner company's onboarding flow.
  • Creator partnership program experience specifically with YouTube and TikTok vertical SMB creators on performance-weighted deals.

Responsibilities

  • Scale UENI's affiliate program to achieve a step-change in US customer acquisition.
  • Build and manage a distributed network of thousands of small affiliates, including content creators, bloggers, and tutorial publishers.
  • Secure top-three placement on key comparison and review sites for website builders.
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract and onboard a large volume of small affiliates.
  • Negotiate with editors at major publications to secure editorial placements.
  • Recruit and manage creator partners, focusing on vertical SMB creators on performance-weighted deal structures.
  • Oversee weekly and monthly reporting on affiliate program performance, including signups, CAC, retention, and partner economics.
  • Manage affiliate program operations such as anti-fraud, dispute resolution, refund clawbacks, and partner support.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with top partners.
  • Maintain and update the partnership commercial terms playbook, analyzing competitor offerings.
  • Personally handle affiliate outreach and negotiations for at least the first six months.
  • Build and execute the affiliate strategy, proposing it to the CEO.
  • Defend channel investment with data and financial metrics.
