Director of Affiliate Partnerships

Ueni Ltd-, NY
Remote

About The Position

This role is focused on scaling UENI's affiliate program to significantly increase US customer acquisition. The company currently utilizes PartnerStack and Impact for its affiliate programs and has an existing partner base. The objective is to grow the program to the scale seen in hosting companies, involving hundreds to thousands of small content creators, bloggers, and tutorial publishers to drive consistent signup volume. Additionally, the role aims to secure top-three placement on comparison and review sites frequented by micro-business owners researching website builders. The timing is critical as UENI seeks to replicate the success of hosting companies that achieved scale through a distributed network of small affiliates and prominent placement on review sites, a strategy not yet fully implemented for a horizontal website builder targeting service-based micro-businesses.

Requirements

  • 5+ years scaling an affiliate program at a hosting company, domain registrar, website builder, or SMB-focused SaaS.
  • Personally scaled a distributed affiliate program to $1M+ in attributable annual revenue.
  • Experience with long-tail affiliate recruitment at scale, personally onboarding dozens of small affiliates.
  • Demonstrated track record securing editorial placement on major comparison and review sites (e.g., Forbes Advisor, NerdWallet, Tooltester, Website Builder Expert, Tom's Guide, PCMag, or equivalent).
  • Advanced operator-level fluency with affiliate platforms like PartnerStack and/or Impact, including configuration of complex commission structures, anti-fraud rules, attribution logic, and performance reporting.
  • Existing relationships with key SMB content publishers (e.g., WPBeginner, Tooltester, Website Builder Expert, Authority Hacker, Adam Enfroy, Pat Flynn's team, Neil Patel's team, NerdWallet small business editorial, Forbes Advisor editorial, or comparable).
  • Strong commercial instincts, with a focus on CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, and refund rate by partner.
  • US-based or able to work full US business hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct, hands-on experience integrating a hosting or SaaS product into a partner company's onboarding flow.

  • Recruit affiliates at scale, aiming for thousands of small affiliates each producing 1-10 signups per month.
  • Build self-serve recruitment infrastructure including pre-built landing pages, content kits, and a partner portal.
  • Aggressively target categories where UENI is currently absent, such as 'how to start a [trade] business' content sites, vertical SMB tutorial publishers, and freelance designers/consultants serving micro-businesses.
  • Identify and recruit under-monetized vertical SMB creators on YouTube and TikTok.
  • Negotiate performance-weighted deal structures with creators.
  • Test, measure, and optimize affiliate performance, doubling down on successful partnerships.
  • Own weekly and monthly reporting on attributable signups, CAC, retention, and partner-level economics.
