About The Position

UEI College is seeking a Director of Admissions to join its Huntington Park campus in California. The Director is responsible for staffing, training, and managing a compliant campus Admissions Team, facilitating the selection and enrollment of qualified student applicants. The role includes ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accreditor standards, and institutional policies and procedures related to student enrollment; recruiting and developing admissions professionals; managing leads and team activity; conducting second interviews with prospective students; and guiding the team to meet admissions objectives while upholding ethical and compliance standards. The Director also manages the student enrollment process and prepares and manages the department budget.

Requirements

At least 2–3 years of sales and/or customer service experience.
An additional 2 years of experience as an Associate Director of Admissions or Director of Admissions.
Thorough understanding of the education admissions process.
Ability to motivate, build, and successfully manage a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including problem solving and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

Comply with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditor standards, and institutional policies and procedures, including those related to student enrollment.
Recruit, train, and develop admissions professionals.
Manage lead distribution to the Admissions Team.
Monitor the daily and weekly activities of the Admissions Team to ensure admissions objectives are met.
Conduct second interviews of prospective student enrollments.
Motivate the Admissions Team to meet admissions objectives while adhering to ethical standards and compliance requirements.
Manage compliance with the student enrollment process, including inquiries, phone screens, and interviews.
Prepare and manage the department budget.
