About The Position
Grand Canyon University (GCU), a leading institution in Arizona, is launching an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program in Jacksonville, FL. We are seeking a Director of Nursing Services to lead and manage the hybrid ABSN learning site. This role involves overseeing various nursing services, including scheduling, proctoring, skills laboratory, clinical placement, compliance, and simulation, in collaboration with university and healthcare partners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about shaping future nurses and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program (CCNE or ACEN) within a regionally accredited college or university.
- Unencumbered FL RN license.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing practice with demonstrated evidence of accountability for outcomes.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience, including supervision of personnel.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (including clinical teaching) at the baccalaureate level or higher in nursing.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement strategy for operational management and development of clinical, lab, and simulation activities to meet organizational and university partner goals.
- Establish and maintain appropriate organizational systems for measuring operational management and development.
- Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities, and development plans and achievements.
- Manage and develop direct reporting staff, ensuring qualifications, certifications, and requirements are met and maintained.
- Secure and manage equipment and supplies for clinical, lab, and simulation activities.
- Collaborate with the ABSN Director to ensure the delivery of services to students.
- Ensure activities comply with quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Promote and model a Christ-centered worldview in leadership, decision-making, and faculty engagement.
- Foster a strong sense of community and shared purpose among faculty, staff, and students.
- Support the development and integration of Christian character and professional virtue education.
- Encourage the integration of Christian faith and learning across curriculum, instruction, and student engagement.
