About The Position
Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking a Director of Nursing Services for its new Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) future site in Metairie, LA. This role is responsible for providing leadership and management of the hybrid ABSN learning site, collaborating with university and healthcare partners. Key areas of responsibility include scheduling, proctoring, skills laboratory, clinical placement and compliance, and simulation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about shaping the future of nursing and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program (CCNE or ACEN) within a regionally accredited college or university.
- Unencumbered LA RN license.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing practice with demonstrated accountability for outcomes.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience, including personnel supervision.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the baccalaureate level or higher in nursing (including clinical teaching).
- Support the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development of clinical, lab, and simulation activities to meet organizational and university partner goals.
- Establish and maintain appropriate organizational systems for measuring operational management and development.
- Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities, and development plans.
- Manage and develop direct reporting staff, ensuring qualifications, certifications, and requirements are met.
- Secure and manage equipment and supplies for clinical, lab, and simulation activities.
- Collaborate with the ABSN Director to ensure student services are delivered effectively.
- Ensure all activities comply with quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and other regulatory guidelines.
