About The Position

This is not a traditional marketing role, but rather a strategic leadership seat at the table. We’re looking for a Director of Marketing & Communications to operate as a chief-of-staff–level partner to executive leadership, connecting strategy, messaging, and execution across the organization. As the head of Marketing & Communications, you’ll play a direct role in shaping strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field
  • 12+ years in marketing, communications, or strategy
  • 3–5+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling ability
  • Experience supporting business development, pursuits, or growth initiatives
  • Ability to influence across teams and drive alignment in a complex organization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted communication and strategy partner to the executive team
  • Develop executive messaging, leadership presentations, and board-level communications
  • Help translate strategy into clear priorities, messaging, and execution across the enterprise
  • Lead external marketing and brand positioning in targeted industrial markets
  • Ensure consistent messaging across business development, marketing, and client engagement
  • Support major pursuits and strategic accounts with compelling presentations and narratives
  • Help communicate enterprise strategy across regions, offices, and field operations
  • Align internal messaging with company priorities, culture, and safety values
  • Track and communicate progress against key strategic initiatives
  • Equip business development teams with high-impact marketing and sales enablement materials
  • Support strategic pursuits, executive briefings, and industry positioning efforts
  • Lead internal communications that connect field, office, and leadership around company vision, culture, and priorities
  • Own Executive & Board Communications including presentations, board decks, and leadership messaging
  • Partner with leadership to shape messaging, priorities, and strategic alignment across the business
