About The Position

Maven Clinic is seeking a Director, GTM Operations & Architecture to own the strategy, systems, design, and reporting that power its commercial engine. The role is the functional owner of the company’s go-to-market tools and processes, with responsibility for defining business needs, translating them into system requirements, prioritizing work, and driving projects to completion. It is a player-coach position with 1–2 direct reports and hands-on ownership of critical operational domains. Reporting to the Head of Revenue Operations, the Director will partner closely with Salesforce engineering, Commercial Strategy, Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and other teams. The role owns Salesforce and adjacent GTM systems, maintains reliable data and efficient workflows, and ensures systems are scalable, well documented, and built to support growth. It also stewards data quality and process governance, supports deal desk operations, and leads business analysis and program management for Salesforce initiatives. Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Teams primarily operate in the New York metropolitan area and remotely from the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle. New York City office team members are required to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday; team members based in Boston, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco are required to attend monthly Work Together Days in their cities. The role requires active US work authorization.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience across Salesforce architecture, revenue operations, or GTM systems, including experience at a B2B SaaS or healthcare company.
  • Deep hands-on Salesforce expertise, including understanding best-practice system architecture and designing clear business and system requirements.
  • Experience designing account hierarchies and object models for complex B2B organizations, ideally with multiple revenue channels or contract structures.
  • Experience building automation and AI-enabled tooling to replace manual GTM and revenue operations work, and identifying and eliminating inefficient processes.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with surrounding systems such as data warehouses, BI, billing, and GTM tools.
  • Proficiency in Looker or equivalent BI tools, with a track record of owning recurring reporting and QA that other teams depend on.
  • Ability to take ambiguous requests, conduct discovery, develop scoped multi-phase plans, and guide senior stakeholders to decisions.
  • Clear writing skills and ability to document architecture decisions for both sales leaders and engineers.
  • Active work authorization in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials, or related designer certifications in Data Architecture & Management, Sharing & Visibility, or Integration Architecture.
  • Familiarity with Apex and sound judgment about when custom code is warranted instead of configuration.
  • Experience at a high-growth healthcare or healthcare benefits company.
  • Experience leading an end-to-end migration or system consolidation, including de-duplication, data cleansing, and bulk loads.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with Looker, BigQuery, NetSuite, Gong, ZoomInfo, and Clay.

Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce as the system of record for the GTM organization, ensuring it is configured, automated, and maintained to support the sales process end to end.
  • Own the roadmap and end-to-end CRM strategy for Salesforce and adjacent systems.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how Sales, Finance, and Analytics use GTM systems, including the decisions, reports, fields, and workflows they rely on.
  • Translate strategic and operational workflows into clear business and functional requirements, partnering with Salesforce engineering to deliver solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, well-documented sales funnel model, including pipeline stages, opportunity fields, and account hierarchies, and map data across systems.
  • Lead AI strategy within the Salesforce ecosystem and identify and build automation that reduces manual work.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and serve as the first point of escalation for sales tooling problems.
  • Run regular data hygiene audits for duplicate records, stale opportunities, and missing fields, and drive resolution with sales teams.
  • Own quality assurance through the deal lifecycle, from S1 opportunities to go-live, validating products, pricing, and contract terms in Salesforce before handoff to implementation.
  • Define, govern, and maintain business rules for customer account hierarchy, including new accounts, restructures, and ongoing hygiene.
  • Document and enforce sales process standards, including stage definitions, required fields, and deal desk workflows.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Engineering to identify bottlenecks and convert them into system-level solutions.
  • Drive business analysis and program management for Salesforce initiatives, including scoping requests, running discovery, and managing multi-phase implementation roadmaps.
  • Support Deal Desk with opportunity structuring, approval workflows, new pricing, and contract data accuracy in Salesforce.
  • Build and lead a team while remaining a hands-on operator.
