The ideal candidate is a hands-on performance marketer who has personally built and managed paid search and Meta campaigns at scale, not just directed others. They should be proficient in Google Ads account structure and Meta attribution setup, having built and fixed them respectively. The candidate should also be genuinely excited about and actively using AI tools to enhance workflow, testing, and efficiency. This is a lean team, and the role involves driving direct impact with ownership of HomeLight's paid channels. This is a hands-on role where the individual will own and run these channels effectively, rather than managing a large team, overseeing agencies, or focusing primarily on strategy decks. It is suited for someone excited about building, ownership, and driving results, not for those looking to move away from day-to-day execution.

Requirements

  • 8-plus years of hands-on paid search and paid social experience, with meaningful time in-house.
  • Deep command of Google Ads: campaign architecture, Smart Bidding, Performance Max, Search Ads 360, and audience layering.
  • Proven Meta Ads execution: Advantage+ campaigns, custom and lookalike audiences, creative testing at scale, and Conversions API setup.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in a marketing workflow - not just awareness of them.
  • Strong SQL and analytics skills - able to pull own data and build own reports.
  • Experience with attribution in a high-consideration, long-cycle product.
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager, GA4, and ad platform tracking - able to set up conversion events and debug tracking issues.
  • Clear communicator with senior stakeholders - able to explain performance without overstating it.

  • Experience with attribution in real estate, mortgage, insurance, or fintech products.

Responsibilities

  • Own paid search and paid social for HomeLight, two channels that matter a lot to the business.
  • Run the campaigns personally.
  • Be accountable for the numbers.
  • Work closely with data and product teams to ensure correct measurement.
  • Build and optimize Google Ads campaigns (search, Performance Max, remarketing).
  • Manage Meta across Facebook and Instagram.
  • Run a real testing program with creative and audience experiments.
  • Stay on top of CAC and ROAS with enough fluency to explain what's moving and why.
  • Bring AI into the workflow in practical ways.
