Director, Financial Planning (Maumee, OH)

Edelman Financial Engines, LLC•Maumee, OH
•$125,000 - $350,000

About The Position

Edelman Financial Engines (EFE) is a fiduciary financial advice firm focused on helping clients make informed investment and financial-planning decisions. The role is described in the posting as a Senior Financial Advisor position, despite the Director, Financial Planning title. It provides objective, fee-based advice and asset management to clients who have already enrolled with the firm; the advisor does not conduct marketing activities or manage a prospect-conversion pipeline. The firm qualifies, enrolls, and assigns clients to advisors so the advisor can focus on client relationships and comprehensive planning. The advisor evaluates clients’ circumstances and needs, develops and presents recommendations, and provides planning across all areas of their financial lives. Success is measured through client satisfaction, retention, and relationship development that can lead organically to referrals, additional assets, and expanded planning opportunities. The advisor receives continuing education and support from a dedicated team of Client Service Managers, along with retirement-planning tools and software. The role offers base salary and performance-based compensation. The anticipated total target cash range is $125,000–$350,000, comprising base salary and bonus. Bonus potential is linked to performance and success in growing sales and client relationships. Other compensation and benefits may be available, including a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions; specific eligible benefits are to be discussed during hiring.
