Under the direction of the Senior Finance Leader, this role prepares proformas or financial analyses to meet organization decision-making needs. It leads the budget and forecast processes for the site(s), establishing timing, methods, and processes, and ensuring the integrity of the budget through controls and processes. The role directs or prepares the revenue budget, including gross revenues, contractuals, and bad debts/charity, and quantifies and budgets revenue enhancement and cost reduction opportunities. It assists the Senior Finance Leader and site leadership in identifying financial improvement opportunities and works collaboratively with site department leaders and SRCO to improve site financial performance in areas such as labor productivity, cost management, revenue capture, and denials reduction. The role also directs the site capital process, including requests, approvals, tracking, reporting, and preparation of proformas, and staffs the site capital committee. It prepares presentations and reports for leadership and may present financial information at management team meetings. Additionally, it serves as a resource/liaison for site or service line leadership, corporate finance staff, and other departments affecting financial performance and revenue cycle, providing guidance on policies, directing financial statement preparation, consulting on finance-related issues, and notifying about material issues impacting net reimbursement. The role oversees, explains, and interprets close results, partners with leadership to review and reconcile unusual expenses, unfavorable variances, or cost-saving opportunities, and directs the production and distribution of reports. It leads site productivity huddles, partnering with operational leaders to achieve labor productivity and cost management goals. Finally, it performs human resources responsibilities for staff, including interviewing, selection, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, employee concern resolution, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale. It develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives, and is responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct, ensuring personal and supervised employee actions comply with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
