Director, Facilities Design Civil Engineering

Blue Origin•Space Coast, FL

About The Position

The Director, Facility Site Civil Engineering leads the planning, design, and delivery of site infrastructure for launch, test, manufacturing, and integration campuses. The role owns site development from master planning through construction—including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and launch and test pads—and is accountable for environmental compliance, permitting strategy, and schedule across multiple sites. This leader builds and develops engineering teams, establishes discipline standards and review practices, and partners with program, operations, manufacturing, test, and launch leaders to translate vehicle and production needs into facility requirements and schedules. The Director owns civil discipline cost, schedule, and quality performance for the facility capital program, manages external design and construction partners, supports facility commissioning and turnover, and leads root-cause and corrective-action efforts for discipline-related incidents and anomalies.
