About The Position

This early-career role is part of Blue Origin’s corporate functions and supports site civil design for Blue Origin’s Florida operations. Working with the Facilities Engineering Design team and under the guidance of licensed engineers, the engineer contributes to new buildings, facility expansions and modifications, and ongoing site infrastructure sustainment. Design areas include grading, drainage and stormwater, roads and paving, and utilities. The role offers hands-on design work from the start, including engineering calculations, Civil 3D models and drawings, permit application support, and field work to assess construction and existing infrastructure. It is intended for a new graduate or early-career engineer who has passed or plans to pass the FE exam and is committed to pursuing a Professional Engineer license. The position provides mentorship and opportunities to take on increasing responsibility across a range of projects. Work takes place in office, operating facility, and active construction environments, including launch-site areas. There may be occasional exposure to outdoor conditions such as heat, rain, fumes, odors, and noise. The role requires occasional travel, approximately 10%, and extended hours as needed to support critical construction, operations, and program milestones. Applicants must be able to pass a U.S. Air Force / Space Force background check for base access at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
