About The Position

Webflow is hiring a Director of EPD Operations to run and continually improve the operating system for its Engineering, Product & Design (EPD) organization. The role owns how EPD plans, tracks, launches, and reports on work, with an increasing focus on using AI agents to automate repetitive operational tasks. The Director reports to the Chief Product Officer, serves on EPD Leadership, and leads a small, high-leverage team of program managers, technical program managers, and agentic engineers. Success is measured by whether EPD delivers more customer value faster and more reliably. The position is remote-first in the United States, with Canada locations limited to British Columbia and Ontario. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring Webflow sponsorship for an immigration-related employment benefit. The role is full-time and exempt. Base compensation varies by U.S. geographic zone: Zone A is $284,000–$355,000; Zone B is $267,000–$334,000; and Zone C is $249,600–$312,000. The specific salary depends on location and job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in technical program management, engineering or product operations, or chief-of-staff roles at a software company.
  • At least 4 years of experience leading teams.
  • Track record of running planning, OKRs, and operating cadence for an EPD organization of several hundred people and simplifying that system over time.
  • Experience owning launch readiness or release governance for a SaaS product, including coordinating major launches with GTM.
  • Strong executive presence; ability to facilitate discussions with VPs, synthesize complex debates into decisions, and write board-ready updates.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools and agents, and experience leading or sponsoring automation that reduced operational toil and achieved adoption.
  • Fluency with engineering and product tools such as Linear, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and data/BI tools, along with good judgment about when to change tools.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and frequent change, including replanning after reorganizations or strategy shifts without losing continuity.
  • Clear, concise communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Curiosity and openness to growth, including proactive use of AI and development of emerging-technology fluency to improve work and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Run EPD leadership and organization-wide operating rituals, including weekly leadership meetings, pillar lead reviews, quarterly all-hands, offsites, and protected builder time; remove low-value rituals and ensure the remaining ones drive decisions.
  • Own quarterly planning, the OKR program and its owners, and roadmap health; surface at-risk work early and route it to the appropriate leader for a decision within a week.
  • Produce accurate, timely EPD reporting for executive staff, board meetings, and QBRs, using live roadmap and OKR data.
  • Own launch readiness and release governance, including OK2GA and production-readiness reviews; coordinate major launches such as Webflow Conf and partner with Engineering and Support on post-incident follow-through.
  • Run alpha and beta programs that give product teams a predictable path from build-complete to customer use, with feedback loops in partnership with Product, Research, and GTM.
  • Own product development lifecycle standards, including PRDs, stage gates, and product-led releases; templatize or automate repeatable steps and reduce process burden for PMs, EMs, and designers.
  • Lead EPD's internal AI and tooling roadmap and manage agentic engineers building agents and automations for intake triage and routing, status updates, beta recruitment, roadmap views, and a shared skills library.
  • Own EPD tooling, such as Linear, and partner with IT and Finance on tooling spend and adoption.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting on headcount plans and capitalized software reporting, and with Marketing, Sales, and Support on launch plans and routing customer feedback into EPD.
  • Hire, coach, and develop a team of program managers, TPMs, and agentic engineers across U.S. and LATAM time zones, setting clear priorities while enabling team members to own outcomes.
