About The Position

Noom is seeking a strategic, hands-on content leader to define and own the vision for health and behavior change content across its member experience. Reporting to the VP of Product Design & Content, the Director will lead a small team and own the strategy and roadmap for curriculum, daily articles, the content library, microhabit challenges, and recipes. The role will guide content for new product launches, connect content to business outcomes, and ensure experiences are clear, trustworthy, and grounded in behavior change science. The role balances leadership and execution: setting direction and developing the team while personally outlining, drafting, reviewing, and editing content. The Director will align partners across Product, Design, Clinical, Marketing, CRM, Customer Experience, and other functions to create a cohesive member experience. They will also build AI-assisted workflows that help the team work efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy. Noom's content combines behavior change science, including CBT principles, with practical health guidance across topics such as weight, nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, and overall wellness. The position is eligible for Noom's NYC or Princeton office locations and follows a hybrid schedule with two days per week on-site.

  • Proven content strategy leadership in a complex consumer digital product, with measurable impact across multiple content surfaces.
  • Background and expertise creating lifestyle health content, including nutrition, weight management, sleep, stress, movement, and habit formation.
  • Ability to speak credibly about the clinical side of health, including treatments members may be taking through Noom, and to partner with clinicians to make complex information clear and accurate.
  • Experience applying behavior change science and psychology-based approaches, such as CBT, motivational interviewing, or habit-formation frameworks, to digital content and experiences.
  • Track record of managing and developing content professionals and prioritizing work across a small team supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong hands-on writing and editing skills, with sound judgment about accuracy, tone, and trust in health-related content.
  • Experience using data and research to guide content decisions and measure engagement or conversion.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to align Product, Design, Marketing, Clinical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI tools to content workflows to improve speed and quality.
  • Ability to set realistic goals and deliver across a broad, evolving scope with limited resources.
  • Commitment to accessible, human-centered content.
