About The Position

The Director, Content Design influences executive-level decisions about content strategy and user experience and establishes the overall business strategy for content design. This leader shapes how customers understand and navigate PayPal products by setting strategy for product voice, language, terminology, and information architecture across experiences, with an emphasis on coherent systems rather than individual screens. The role builds standards, a shared lexicon, reusable content patterns, and governance that help teams create clear, consistent experiences at scale. As a people leader, the Director grows a high-performing content design team, sets a strong bar for craft, and helps focus content design work where it can have the greatest customer and business impact. The position is based in New York City, with PayPal's balanced hybrid work model generally involving three days in the office and two days at the office or home workspace.
