Position Overview Zelis is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff to support the CRO of Sales & Client Management (S&CM) and the broader leadership team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional strategic acumen, executive communication capabilities, operational excellence, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives. This role serves as a trusted advisor and operational partner to executive leadership, responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, managing business rhythms, and ensuring alignment across enterprise priorities. The position requires a highly proactive individual who can manage multiple high-priority initiatives, synthesize complex information into actionable insights, and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, business operations, program management, corporate strategy, or Chief of Staff roles.
  • Experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication and executive storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong presentation development experience, including creating executive-level communications and strategic materials.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives, balance competing deadlines, and drive cross-functional execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience with financial modeling, business metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage both strategic and operational priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, enterprise mindset.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, navigate ambiguity, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and executive reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CRO and Sales & Client Management leadership team, helping align priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, and advance key business initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Establish and manage leadership operating rhythms, governance structures, and executive cadences that support organizational effectiveness and execution excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with leaders across Finance, Marketing, Legal, Operations, HR, Client Success, and Executive Administration to drive strategic priorities and enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate high-impact initiatives by managing timelines, dependencies, stakeholder alignment, and execution plans.
  • Conduct strategic and financial analyses, including business cases, market assessments, investment evaluations, and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making.
  • Translate complex business, operational, and financial information into concise, executive-ready insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and oversee executive materials and communications, including Board presentations, Operating Committee updates, leadership meeting content, business reviews, and enterprise presentations.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and executive readiness across presentations, communications, and leadership deliverables.
  • Plan and execute leadership meetings, offsites, and town halls, including agenda development, pre-read coordination, presentation creation, action tracking, and follow-up.
  • Maintain the S&CM Navigator as the central source of truth for organizational priorities, capabilities, initiatives, and operating models.
  • Manage client allocation and gifting budgets in partnership with Executive Administration and Executive Assistants.
  • Support client management transition planning and maintain related operational documentation in coordination with Client Success teams.
