About The Position

Microsoft Foundry is seeking a technical marketer to build with its products, earn trust in developer communities, and turn campaign ideas into sustained product engagement. The role leads technical campaigns and serves as a visible product voice, working closely with Developer Relations, channel owners, and peer product marketing teams. It creates and explains working examples, participates in developer communities, and connects insights from those communities to marketing and product decisions. The work emphasizes audience judgment, campaign delivery, credible engagement, and practical coding ability. The role also collaborates across the Azure AI product marketing team, including managing and triaging inbound requests across the broader portfolio. It partners with data, growth, analytics, product, engineering, publishing, and community teams to define campaign goals, assess results, improve programs, and close the loop with developers.

  • Hands-on experience in technical marketing, developer relations, software engineering, or technical product management, including building and explaining working software.
  • Ability to write and debug code, use APIs and developer tools, and explain implementation choices and limitations to a technical audience.
  • Experience designing and delivering technical campaigns or developer programs, creating useful content, and engaging directly with developer communities.
  • Strong public communication and interpersonal judgment, including the ability to respond independently and recognize when an issue needs escalation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field and 8+ years of marketing or sales experience; or bachelor's degree in one of those fields and 12+ years of business experience; or equivalent experience.

  • Experience connecting community feedback to product improvements and coordinating work across marketing and Developer Relations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical campaigns and developer-engagement programs around customer needs and useful product capabilities; define audiences, messages, technical proof, intended actions, and execution and distribution responsibilities with partners.
  • Build and adapt code samples, working examples, and demos for campaigns and education, partnering with Demos and Customer Acquisition on shared implementations and technical readiness.
  • Create practical tutorials, technical videos, live sessions, and explainers for channel and publishing partners; verify claims and availability with Product and Engineering and align publishing plans.
  • Contribute a credible technical voice in developer communities, answer substantive questions, build practitioner relationships, and use independent judgment within agreed escalation and disclosure guidelines.
  • Work with Developer Relations and community partners on technical education and engagement programs, agree team deliverables, and turn recurring questions and useful community examples into content and product feedback.
  • Engage directly with customers in Discord, Reddit, and other channels, involving product leaders when their expertise is needed.
  • Manage and triage inbound asks across the broader portfolio as part of collaborative work across the Azure AI PMM team.
  • Set appropriate next actions for campaigns and partner with Data and Growth and analytics teams to agree success measures and comparable baselines for engagement, product use, and qualified follow-through.
  • Interpret results and use evidence to improve campaign and community programs.
  • Bring recurring developer friction and unmet needs to Product and Engineering, track responses, and close the loop with the community when changes ship.
  • Prioritize campaigns, community activity, and analyst support with the team to keep each effort within a manageable scope.
