About The Position

The Director-Business Operations provides management and administration of Student Union departmental operations, including financial planning and analysis, human and physical resource allocation, and billing and collections. The role plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates subordinate employees’ work activities and helps ensure administrative and operational objectives are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Five years of business operations management experience.
• Knowledge of management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
• Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Skill in using personal computers and related software applications.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports.
• Ability to train, supervise, and motivate employees.

Responsibilities

• Administer financial affairs, including budgeting, billing, collections, payroll, purchases, usage, and allocation of funds.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate the work activities of subordinates.
• Ensure employees comply with applicable policies and procedures.
• Research, develop, and implement policies to maximize space utilization and improve administrative processes, procedures, workflow, and worker productivity.
• Develop, plan, organize, and administer policies and procedures to ensure administrative and operational objectives are met.
• Ensure compliance with financial and institutional policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive, current record-keeping system of activities and operational procedures.
• Liaise with internal and external constituencies.
