About The Position

Cantina Labs is a social AI company focused on developing advanced real-time models for expression, personality, and realism. They aim to transform storytelling, connection, and creation through AI. The company is seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to be the primary owner and guardian of their brand identity. This role will involve leading a comprehensive brand refresh, ensuring consistency in logo, visual identity, messaging, and tone across all company touchpoints. It's a hybrid role blending brand marketing and brand creative responsibilities, including strategy setting, campaign management, and direct ownership of brand advertising. The Director will also define the brand's presence on social and organic channels, collaborating with the social execution team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of brand marketing experience, including both agency (account side) and in-house experience at a consumer-facing company.
  • Experience at a recognizable, culturally relevant consumer brand or platform.
  • Brand marketing experience managing external brand advertising campaigns.
  • Experience working with digital media creators.
  • Experience working with all social platforms on organic and paid campaigns.
  • Proven ability to manage and direct commercial/brand advertising production, including working with agencies and production partners.
  • Experience managing an in-house creative team and/or creative asset production.
  • Excellent communication and messaging instincts; ability to set and evangelize brand guidelines across an organization.
  • A builder's mindset, with enthusiasm for creating brand infrastructure from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a company-wide brand refresh, including logo, visual identity, messaging, and tone, ensuring consistency across all company materials and touchpoints.
  • Own brand messaging, define core messaging pillars, and articulate them internally and externally.
  • Take direct ownership of commercials and other brand advertising campaigns from concept to production.
  • Set and maintain brand guidelines, and dictate brand presentation across social and organic channels in partnership with the social team.
  • Manage the in-house creative team and asset production, as well as relationships with external creative and production agencies.
  • Collaborate with product, comms, and executive stakeholders to ensure brand and messaging alignment across the company.
  • Build the foundational infrastructure for scaling brand marketing as the team and company grow.
