About The Position

Weber Shandwick is recruiting an experienced Director of Analytics to use analytics to inform strategic learning and effective client communications campaigns. The role works closely with the analytics team lead to turn client requests into sound measurement research and translate analytics findings into actionable insights that inform communications strategies. Work spans clients and topics including healthcare, technology, social and earned media listening, corporate reputation, issue management, public affairs, and cross-channel media analyses. The Director leads delivery of earned and social listening work, uses AI-powered tools to discover insights, oversees client deliverables that integrate findings from multiple analyses, supports new business development, and manages the work of junior team members. The position also helps formalize solutions for recurring client needs, develop analytics capabilities and AI practices and workflows, establish reasoning platforms for translating data into accessible insights, and proactively share solutions with non-analytics colleagues to address client challenges. The role is expected to work in the office at least three days per week, to the extent permissible by local law, unless additional in-office days are directed by the agency or manager.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while contributing distinct analytics skills to large client teams.
  • Ability and willingness to own work tracks, manage complex deadlines and deliverable processes, nurture client relationships, collaborate with strategy and creative teams, and mentor junior analytics staff.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams on client research and analytics requests, design the analytical approach, lead earned and social media analyses, and answer questions from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage team workloads to deliver compelling analytics reports and insights that help clients understand trends and actionable implications.
  • Test and deploy AI-powered analytical tools to analyze client and publicly available data.
  • Participate in new business and organic client growth through stakeholder engagement, client outreach, and solutions mapping.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of established and emerging digital marketing analytics tools and platforms, especially syndicated research and social listening platforms.

  • Develop and apply strategic measurement frameworks to uncover insights across earned, social, owned, and other media sources.
  • Oversee production of client deliverables that integrate insights from multiple analyses.
  • Manage and mentor junior analytics team members.
  • Formalize solutions for frequent client requests, develop analytics capabilities and AI best practices and workflows, and establish reasoning platforms that make data findings accessible to different audiences.
