About The Position

The Director of Action for Cost Excellence (ACE) is responsible for leading and optimizing cost containment and reduction for the organization. This role will be pivotal in driving efficiency, cost effectiveness, and reliability across all sites. The Director of ACE will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies as well as processes that enhance operational capabilities, align with organizational goals, and support our commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in supply chain management; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
  • Five (5) years of complex contract negotiations.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience working at an enterprise level is preferred.
  • Experience in Aviation or MRO preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of products and services.
  • Establishes and drives an effective value-based cost reduction program to maximize business results.
  • Drives Supply Chain process improvements to remove nonvalue added activities.
  • Develops and maintains a spend cube.
  • Develops strong mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers that provide cost reductions. Efforts will be aligned cross-organizationally.
  • Fully supports initiatives defined by Finance leadership.
  • Assists in mentoring the supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Works closely with other departments, including operations, engineering, and finance, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of activities with overall business objectives.
  • Works in conjunction with Supply Chain within other business units to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs.
  • Develops and maintains an inventory planning tool that is utilized across the entire Supply Chain.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining high-quality standards across all procurement activities.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of components and materials.
  • Coordinates efforts to ensure the successful negotiation of complex contracts, LTA’s, leases and purchase agreements.
  • Develops and maintains Supply Chain KPIs.
  • Ensures the alignment of supplier performance with company standards and goals, and addresses issues related to quality, cost, or delivery.
  • Develops and maintains a Supplier evaluation, rating and feedback program.
  • Leads Supply Chain efforts related to company AI initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
