About The Position

RHA Health Services is hiring a Direct Support Supervisor to oversee two or more employees and help provide support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and people facing mental health and substance use challenges. The supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including hiring recommendations, employee training, work planning and direction, performance reviews, motivation, and resolution of complaints and problems.

The role manages assigned residential homes or facilities, coordinates Direct Support Employees, and also works scheduled time in the residential setting. The supervisor helps ensure employees meet training requirements, provides feedback on their interactions with people supported, and helps maintain a clean and well-kept home and yard. The position assists with implementing services and supports tied to each person's Individual Support Plan and carries out Direct Support Professional duties. Schedule varies with group home needs: generally Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend work as needed. After-hours and on-call coverage is part of the direct care rotation. Pay is $20 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed.
• Provide CPR after certification.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in a health-related area or two years of experience in a health-related field.
• CPR, first aid, NCI, and/or MedTech certification.
• For positions requiring driving: proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and a vehicle, if required for providing transportation for individuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned residential homes or facilities.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of Direct Support Employees.
• Work assigned time in the residential home or facility.
• Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events.
• Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
• Monitor and provide feedback to employees on their interactions and relationships with the people supported.
• Ensure people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard.
• Help implement services and supports that assist people supported in achieving personal goals and desired outcomes identified through an Individual Support Plan.
• Carry out the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional.
• Interview and make recommendations for hiring; train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; review performance; reward and motivate employees; promote team performance; and address complaints and resolve problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
