DSP with $2500 Hiring Bonus
About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you support people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals through person-centered care. The position is in a residential group home setting supporting up to four people, with a collaborative team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion. The current opening is a part-time afternoon position, primarily working 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. shifts. Pay is $16.00 per hour, with an opportunity to increase to $16.50 per hour after six months of consistent employment. A $2,500 hiring bonus is offered to eligible employees who meet the stated requirements.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in helping others and supporting people with identified needs through person-centered care.
- No prior experience or formal education is required; training and support are provided.
- Comfort with basic computer use for documenting care and communicating with the team.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Ability to pass a DHS background check.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships and provide guidance, encouragement, and support.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meals, household support and cleaning, and transportation.
- Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
- Advocate for the rights, needs, and preferences of people with identified needs.
- Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
- Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
