About The Position
Macon Resources Inc (MRI) is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join their team in Decatur, IL. MRI serves over 800 children and adults with disabilities in the Decatur community. Direct Support Professionals are essential to MRI's mission, assisting individuals with disabilities in gaining freedom and independence through support with everyday tasks, ranging from daily routines to recreational activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Direct Support Person training in accordance with state regulations and maintain status on the Habilitation Aid Registry (training will be provided)
- Effective oral and written communication
- Access to a phone or ability to be contacted outside of work

Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with everyday tasks, including waking up and preparing breakfast.
- Support individuals in recreational activities, such as shooting hoops outside.
